Happy Endings

Maska

Adopted

HI Friends, Maska here. Just wanting to touch base to let you know that I am having a great time with my new friend Tony. I have already been swimming, my new favourite toy is driftwood,  can’t get enough of them. We just got back from the coast where I was able to take my first ferry ride to the Island. There were lots of new smells and sights. I wanted to let you know how grateful I am for all your love and support when I needed it most. I will never forget everyone who has been so kind to me. Tony is not the best when it comes to taking pictures, however I am slowly training him to take more pictures of me 🙂
I love and miss you all. Your friend, Maska

Bear

Adopted

This is Shannon, Bears other owner.  And new love of his life.   He is with me EVERYWHERE I go and also believes himself a lap dog if I sit down.  He’s still really shy around men and other dogs, but kids and women he’ll walk right up to when we’re out just to be petted.  My neighbour and her Shepard mix Murphy (4 years old as well) walk with us and he “puts up” with Murphy. More or less pretends he’s not there.  He’s also learned a new trick. He can now shake a paw. We’re working on fetch but so far I’m the one retrieving the tennis ball. He also loves hunting birds in the tall grass. He doesn’t understand stealth and will never be able to catch one but he is in his glory chasing them. Bear is doing great, and we are loving him in our lives.

Ellie

Adopted

Just wanted to give you guys a few pictures of our little Ellie belly:) she’s doing really good… she’s adjusted well to our move to NB. And for those of you that knew her… you may find this hard to believe but she LOVES going for walks!!! The word makes her go crazy! Yes indeed. Thank you for letting us have the chance to experience having our first dog ever be completely wonderful! She’s such a sweetheart and we love her beyond belief!!!

Harlow

Adopted

So very happy to report that we are more thrilled than we can say with this lovely girl, she is truly one of the best mannered and sweetest cats we’ve ever had, it has lightened our lives immeasurably, we parted with two this past year and were broken hearted not sure if we would have another, but we needed her as badly as she needed us, it just happened when the time was right. It was meant to be. She follows us from room to room, is really energetic and playful, bringing her toys into the bedroom to get me motivated in morning, I really can’t express our joy enough, and yes she’s become the most photographed kitty ever! We had company yesterday and she walked right up to them which made my heart so happy, I was worried that she would be just too attached to us two.  She’s very easy going and forgiving. It’s really neat that this is possible through places like yours, we so appreciate the care and kindness you people show these animals and making it possible for this to happen.

Mika

Adopted

Iris (now Mika) is loving her new home. She’s no longer the timid little lady we fostered ; she’s now a sassy, confident, playful little critter that makes our house feel like a home. Her favourite activities include playing tug of war, catching frisbees, eating sticks in the backyard and nibbling on Mom and Dad’s fingers while we watch movies. We are so happy to have given Mika her forever home. Thank you CAHS for rescuing her so that we could give her all the love she deserves!!
