Book Sale - Looking for a good read? Want to get a jump on some summer reading? Check out our used book sale April 23rd and 24th from 12-5pm! A wide selection of new releases, true crime, romance, children's books, cook books, biographies, books about pets, travel books, DVDs, VHS, and CDs will be available. 62 Griffin Industrial Point, Cochrane. All proceeds benefit the shelter.

Pet-i-cure Fundraiser - Get your pet’s feet ready for summer – get your pet a pet-i-cure! Join us for our quarterly Pet-i-cure Fundraiser at the Cochrane & Area Humane Society on May 14th from 1-4pm. All proceeds will benefit the animals. Thank you to the animal health technicians and professional groomers who are donating their time and expertise for this event. A performance by award winning country artist George Canyon will be the highlight of the 6th annual Saving Lives – Changing Lives Gala presented by the Cochrane & Area Humane Society on June 5th.
This classy country event will be held at the Bragg Creek Centre with George Canyon performing two acoustic sets. Exciting items such as airline tickets with a resort stay and a TRAK kayak will be up for grabs during the live auction. There will also be many wonderful silent auction items available. Cocktails begin at 6 pm, Dinner is at 7 pm and a dance will close out the evening.
Generously sponsored by ATB Financial, proceeds from the Gala will go towards providing surgery, medicine, and vaccines for the lost, unwanted or surrendered animals in our care.
This event will sell out! Tickets are just $125 each and tables of eight are available.

The 7th Annual Golf Classic - in support of the Cochrane & Area Humane Society’s Internal Animal Hospital. Please join us in Saving Lives and Changing Lives on Monday, August 16, 2010 at the Links of GlenEagles in Cochrane. This fun golf tournament will feature 18 holes of golf on the beautiful Links of GlenEagles Golf Course, a power cart, dinner and live and silent auctions at the Terrace of GlenEagles.

Our Home for the Holiday Christmas Party Open House is December 11th, 1-4pm. Purchase a gift for the animals at Norm's Nook, our shelter store, and place it under the Shelter Wish Tree for the homeless pets in our care. Santa appears from 2-3 pm, there will be refreshments for all and you can visit the residents! Find out why the holiday season can be a great time to adopt a new companion from an animal shelter!
