Positive Approach Canine Education (PACE) Scholarship
The Cochrane & Area Humane Society Scholarship will be awarded to qualified participants of the CAHS PACE Program. Up to two scholarships will be awarded annually.
Each $1000 scholarship will go towards the student’s program fees.
Successful applicants should have recently made a significant volunteer contribution at the Cochrane & Area Humane Society (CAHS) and have an interest in pursuing a career related to animal welfare, such as; behaviour, dog training, animal care, animal sheltering, animal health or medicine.
Deadlines
Applications are accepted year-round.
Required Documents
- Completed application form
- High School diploma or demonstrate credits for 2012 graduation
- Three letters of reference
- Resume with cover letter addressed to the CAHS Executive Director summarizing why you make a good scholarship candidate
Eligibility
- Applicant must have successfully completed the PACE Program acceptance process including the application and interview.
- Applicant must demonstrate dedication & commitment to pursuing a career in a field related to animal welfare, such as; animal behaviour, dog training, animal care, animal sheltering, animal health or medicine.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have completed meaningful volunteer hours at the Cochrane & Area Humane Society.
- Preference will be given to well-rounded students who have demonstrated participation in related activities including; animal related seminars or workshops, volunteer hours in the animal welfare field, employment in field, etc.
Amount
$1000 to applied towards PACE program fees.
