Please note, if there is huge amounts of matting, we may need to opt for a full shave (only for single-coated dogs - Shihtzu, Poodle, etc.) or cutting out the mats (only for double-coated dogs- Golden Retrievers, Malamutes, Newfoundlands, etc). We do not brush out mats as it is too painful for your dog.

Our puppy packages are offered to help your puppy become more comfortable with the grooming process and set them up for successful future grooms. Puppy packages include an introduction session (meet the groomer, handling, ear cleaning, nail trimming) and two Bath & Tidy sessions. To book a single service, choose from the adult grooming options above.

• If your pet is not feeling well (e.g., vomiting, diarrhea, etc.) or has a communicable condition (e.g., viral/bacterial infections), please do not bring them to our facility until they have recovered. We also recommend that your pet is checked annually by your veterinarian and on programs to prevent worms, fleas, ticks, and lice.
• While dogs do not need to be neutered or spayed to attend our facility, we will not accept females in heat.
• To ensure the safety and well-being of your pet, owners must inform us of any allergies, intolerances, sensitivities, illnesses, physical conditions and/or physical limitations.
• Your dog must be fully up to date on their Rabies, Distemper, Canine Hepatitis, Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza (DHPP) vaccines. Cats require Rabies and FVRCP immunization. Valid Vaccination Certificates or Titre Test Certificates issued by your veterinarian must be submitted as written proof. If your pet has a medical condition for which vaccinations cannot be administered (with written proof from your veterinarian), you may sign a vaccination waiver form at our facility.
• Cats must have their shot and vaccinations 2 weeks before their appointment. Dogs must have their shot and vaccinations 24–48 hrs prior to their appointment. CAHS will accept puppies that are on a vaccination program with their second set of puppy shots completed.
• Mats are terribly dangerous for a dog’s health and can cause pain, injury, and lead to illness. If you cannot keep your dog free of mats yourself, see a groomer frequently and consider a utility cut that is easy to keep mat-free. Dogs with matting will be shaved, as trying to brush mats is too painful for your dog.
• Should your pet require immediate veterinary attention, the CAHS will transport your pet to a nearby veterinary clinic. As the owner, you will be responsible for all medical and veterinarian costs incurred.
• Puppy grooms are for dogs aged 5 months and under. Your appointment will be cancelled if your dog is older than 5 months and you book them in a slot for puppies.
• Definite quotes will be given when the pet is dropped off. Factors affecting pricing can include size, breed, temperament, degree of matting, coat type, preferred hair style, and degree of shedding.
• If you are not satisfied with your pet’s grooming, you will need to notify us at pickup time so we can make the appropriate changes.
• We schedule clients so that the dog is able to return home to their typical environment as soon as possible. However, if your dog must stay with us for more than 1 hour after your grooming, there will be an additional $10 per hour charge.
• Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, we reserve the right to charge the full grooming fee unless we can find another dog to take your spot on short notice.
• If we deem the winter road conditions not suitable for driving on the day of your appointment, we will notify you not to come and try to re-book you accordingly. No cancellation fee will apply if we make the call.
