Introducing Effie, a deserving dog with a big heart and a gentle spirit. Effie's journey has been one of both challenge and triumph, but her unwavering love for her puppies and her determination to overcome obstacles make her a truly special companion. Effie arrived at our shelter alongside her precious puppies, and shortly afterwards she underwent a major hip surgery. Throughout all her challenges she has shown tenacity to get back on all fours and she is well on her way to recovery! Effie's ideal home would be one filled with love, patience, and understanding. She thrives in environments where she feels safe and secure, making her a wonderful companion for families with children over the age of 15. Effie loves to be close to her people and struggles with being left alone, so a family who has experience and can provide her with the structure and reassurance she craves will help her blossom. Despite her challenges, Effie's capacity for love knows no bounds! She loves to play around in the snow, do zoomies, or just chill out in the sunshine in the back yard. Rope toys are a favourite, as are walks and treats. She is inquisitive and enjoys looking out the window at the big wide world. You will be smitten from the time you meet her, with her puppy dog eyes and her yoda ears!
