Puppy Preschool

Raising a puppy involves more than training basic obedience; it also includes exposing your puppy to new experiences in a safe and positive manner. Early socialization can help your puppy grow up into a well-rounded adult dog and avoid later problems such as fear, aggression, and anxiety.

Puppy Obedience

This fun, six-week course is designed for puppies aged 10–20 weeks. Build a positive relationship with your puppy by learning basic obedience, loose leash walking and recall exercises.

Get Started Obedience

Build a positive relationship and strengthen the bond with your dog using positive reinforcement training. We will focus on basic obedience, loose leash walking, and recall exercises, with an emphasis on family dog manners both inside and outside the home.

Beyond basics: Learning through fun

This class will improve obedience skills by incorporating elements of rally obedience, agility, and shadowing skills where dogs work on both sides of their handlers, performing a variety of twists, turns, and side changes. The class is open to dogs with solid basic obedience skills, including name attention, a solid sit, and the ability to work while other dogs are in the room.

Is your dog more of a scaredy cat? Our Scaredy Dog class will help shy or timid dogs gain confidence and work to help them overcome their fears, like new people or situations. Helping your dog build their confidence is an excellent way to strengthen your bond together and prepare your pup to better face the world.

Scaredy Dog class

This class is designed for dogs that fear new people, places, and sometimes even life in general. In this class, we work on strengthening the bond between dog and handler using gentle, positive reinforcement techniques.

If your dog barks and lunges at other dogs or distractions on walks, these classes will teach you fundamental skills for keeping your dog’s focus on you, making walks more enjoyable for you and your dog. Our tiered approach allows people to progress to the next level, where the focus is gaining confidence and comfort in the presence of other dogs through various skills and exercises.

Leash Lungers Anonymous

Is walking your dog a stressful event filled with avoiding other dogs? Does your dog bark, lunge, growl, and snarl when walking on leash around other dogs?

Leash Lungers Next Steps

This class will focus on impulse control exercises and your dog’s ability to stay calm, focused, and working in the presence of other dogs.

Leash Lungers Therapeutic Agility

This class combines safety and agility training with the continued practice of dog reactivity prevention and management skills.

Dog agility is the king of dog sports and is often referred to as the most fun a dog can have. To a dog, an agility field is a doggy amusement park. Whether you’re looking for a venue where your dog can burn off some excess energy in a safe, constructive manner, or just want to spend some quality time with your dog, agility training offers amusement and challenges for both the dog and handler—often turning an unruly friend into a willing and appreciative teammate.
