Ozzy
Meet Ozzy, a handsome three-year-old looking for a patient family to help him find his footing.
Ozzy is still figuring out the world and can be a little unsure when meeting new people, animals, and experiencing unfamiliar situations. He’ll do best with adopters who understand that going slowly and giving him space to get comfortable can make all the difference. Once he knows what’s expected of him, positive reinforcement and plenty of encouragement will help this big guy build confidence.
Because Ozzy is a large dog with limited history, he is looking for a home with children 15 years and older. His new family would also benefit from continuing his training through a group obedience class or equivalent program, helping him learn while strengthening that all-important bond with his people.
Ozzy may not be the kind of dog who barrels into a new situation without a second thought, and that’s okay. With patience, consistency, and people willing to let him settle in at his own pace, this handsome fellow has every opportunity to become a wonderful companion.
If you have room in your home (and possibly quite a bit of room on your couch!) for a big guy who just needs someone in his corner, Ozzy would love to meet you. ❤️
If there’s another dog in his future home, we recommend a meet-and-greet at the shelter followed by slow, thoughtful introductions.
I can live with children 15+ years.
