Blue

Blue is a sweet, active dog looking for a family who understands Northern breeds and is ready to give her the physical exercise, mental enrichment, and ongoing training she needs to thrive. Positive reinforcement will be the way to this girl's heart as she builds a relationship with her new people and continues learning the skills that will help her succeed.

A secure environment and careful supervision will be important. She should remain on leash when she's out and about until she has developed a strong bond with her family and a reliable recall. Recall and general obedience training will be great ways for Blue and her new people to learn to work together.

Blue can be selective about her canine friends, so if there's already a dog in the family, a meet-and-greet at the shelter will be required before adoption.  Blue is looking for a cat-free home.

This lovely girl would do best with dog-savvy children aged 10+ who can understand and respect her boundaries.
