Meet Cowboy! 🤠🐾

Cowboy is a four-year-old gentleman who is looking for a patient family to help him settle into his next chapter. He can be a little unsure when experiencing new people, places, and situations, but given some time and space, you'll start to see his softer side emerge.

Cowboy enjoys being around people and has shown that he appreciates gentle affection, especially once he's had a chance to get comfortable. He walks nicely on leash and likes sticking close to his person while taking in the world around him. New environments can sometimes feel like a lot, so Cowboy will benefit from a family willing to let him explore and build confidence at his own pace.

When it comes to other dogs, Cowboy prefers polite companions who respect his personal space. He has shown that he can be uncomfortable when unfamiliar dogs become too enthusiastic or push for interaction, and he's good at communicating when he needs some breathing room. Any potential canine friends should be introduced slowly and thoughtfully to make sure everyone is comfortable.

Cowboy will thrive with positive reinforcement, patience, and a predictable routine as he learns that his new world is a safe one. Once he feels comfortable, there are glimpses of a much more relaxed, wiggly fellow underneath that serious exterior.
