Empanada
Meet Empanada, a sweet and sensitive girl looking for a patient family to help her build confidence and thrive.
Empanada has a gentle nature and a curious spirit. She loves trying new things and exploring the world around her, but she needs a trusted person by her side to guide and encourage her along the way. While she may be shy at first, with time, consistency, and understanding, Empanada blossoms into a loving and loyal companion.
Because Empanada is very fearful of traffic and busy environments, she cannot live in a bustling city or on a heavily traveled road. Loud traffic can be overwhelming for her, and when she becomes frightened, she will "pancake"—lying down and refusing to move until she feels safe again. Empanada would do best in a quieter neighborhood with peaceful walking paths, parks, or low-traffic streets where she can enjoy walks without added stress.
Empanada is looking for a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. She will need a slow introduction to her new home and routine, along with positive reinforcement to help her adjust and gain confidence. In return, you'll have the opportunity to watch her grow, learn, and discover just how brave she can be.
I will need multiple meets.
With slow and proper introductions, I might be able to live with dogs and cats.
I will need to live with dog savvy children, aged 15+.
Empanada is currently staying with a foster family, please contact the Adoption Team at 403-932-2072 ext. 113 to find out more.
