Meet Markus, a sweet four-year-old boy with a handsome face, a happy smile, and plenty of love just waiting for the right family!

We don’t know everything about Markus’s life before arriving in our care, so his new family will have the fun of getting to know him as he settles in and lets his personality shine. What we do know is that he’s a sweet guy who would benefit from patient, positive guidance as he adjusts to his new home.

Markus would love a family committed to positive reinforcement training. A group obedience class or equivalent would be a great opportunity to work on his skills, build his confidence, and, most importantly, strengthen the bond between Markus and his new people. Slow and thoughtful introductions to unfamiliar people, places, and experiences will also help set him up for success.

If there’s another dog in the home, we recommend bringing them to the shelter for a meet-and-greet before adoption. As with any new furry family members, introductions should continue slowly once everyone gets home.

Markus is recommended for families with children 10 years and older, although this may be flexible. Proper supervision between dogs and kids is always important.
