Meet Max, a sweet, energetic one-year-old boy who is ready to find a family to join him for all of life’s adventures!

Max is a young guy with plenty of potential and would love a home where he can stay active, keep learning, and have some fun along the way. He may be an especially great match for someone interested in exploring activities like agility or other dog sports. Whether he turns out to be an agility superstar or simply enjoys learning new tricks in the backyard, Max would love having something to do alongside his favourite people.

At just one year old, Max is still learning about the world and will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training. A group obedience class or equivalent would be a great way to practice his skills, build confidence, and strengthen the bond with his new family. Slow and positive introductions to new people, places, and experiences will help him continue developing into a confident adult dog.

If there is another dog in the home, we recommend bringing them to the shelter for a meet-and-greet before adoption, followed by slow and thoughtful introductions once everyone is home.

Max may be suitable for families with children five years and older, with appropriate supervision between kids and dogs.
