Oat

Oat is a sweet and gentle 3-year-old girl with a heart full of love. She can be a little shy and skittish when meeting new people or exploring unfamiliar places, but with patience, kindness and the chance to take things at her own pace, her true personality begins to shine.

Once Oat feels safe and comfortable, she becomes a devoted and caring companion who loves being close to her family. She forms strong bonds with the people she trusts and enjoys spending her days by their side, whether that's relaxing at home, heading out for a quiet walk or simply keeping them company.

Oat is looking for a family who understands that she may need some time to decompress and build confidence in new situations. Slow, positive introductions to new people, places and experiences will help her feel secure, and gradual exposure to busier environments will allow her to experience the world without becoming overwhelmed. Positive, reward-based training will be a wonderful way to continue building both her confidence and her bond with her new family.

If there are other dogs in the home, we'd recommend a meet before adoption to make sure everyone is comfortable, followed by slow and proper introductions once Oat comes home.
