Sammy

Meet Sammy, a sweet, resilient girl with a heart as big as her spirit. When she first arrived at our shelter, the unfamiliar sights, sounds, and routines left her feeling understandably overwhelmed. Thanks to the patience, kindness, and encouragement of our staff and volunteers, Sammy has come a long way and is beginning to show everyone just how special she truly is.

Once she feels safe, Sammy's playful and affectionate side shines through. She greets her favorite people with a happy wagging tail, enjoys interactive games, and loves spending quality time with those she trusts. Every new milestone she reaches is a reminder of how rewarding it is to earn her confidence.

Sammy is also a proud tripod, but don't tell her she's missing a leg—she certainly hasn't noticed! Her three legs don't stop her from living life to the fullest. She gets around beautifully, enjoys her walks, loves to play, and embraces each day with enthusiasm and determination. Her resilience is truly inspiring, and she never lets being a tripod define who she is.

Sammy is looking for a patient, understanding family who will continue to help her build confidence by introducing her to new people, places, and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for her. A calm home, a predictable routine, and plenty of love will help her continue to flourish.

In return, Sammy will reward your patience with unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and a bond unlike any other. She has already overcome so much, and with the love and support of her forever family, there's no doubt this remarkable girl will continue to blossom.
