Olivia is a graduate of the PACE program offered by the Cochrane & Area Humane Society, and earned her Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) certificate through the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers. She is also certified in Pet First Aid.
A life long animal lover but obsessive about dogs, Dawn started her training journey after raising a family and working in a few different industries before following her heart to work full time with dogs. After 10 years at a training facility in Southern Ontario, Dawn, her husband and their dogs moved west to be closer to family.
Dawn is a certified trainer with the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers (CPDT-KA) and is a graduate of the L.E.G.S. Applied Ethology Family Dogs Mediation course (FDM). She is also a Professional Member of the Canadian Association of Pet Dog Trainers and a Supporting Member of the IIABC (International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants). She has taught all levels of obedience (including puppy foundations), rally obedience and agility and was a Director of an Ontario not-for-profit that trained service and therapy dogs. Dawn is committed to expanding her training knowledge and when not spending time with her family, can be found in front of a computer deeply engrossed in another online course or listening to dog training podcasts! She strongly supports the use of positive reinforcement training methods and tailors her training protocols to build stronger relationships between the humans and dogs she works with.
