The Direction Puppies

Looking for a little direction in your life? Meet North, South, East and West, four 2-month-old puppies ready to point you straight toward your next adventure!

These pups have spent more than a month in foster care getting a wonderful start on life. They are an affectionate, people-oriented bunch who genuinely enjoy human company. They’ve met lots of different people, including children, and have even ventured out to a busy shelter event, where they handled all the attention like champs. Their foster describes them as relaxed, inquisitive, responsive and surprisingly easy to manage for such young puppies.

The Direction Puppies love getting outside to play, explore and put those puppy noses to work, but they also have a great ability to settle. After some exercise, they're quite happy to find a comfortable spot and relax. They’ve had plenty of off-leash adventures in their foster home and naturally tend to stay close to their person, check in regularly and come running when called. Leash walking is still new, so their future families will need to help them continue learning this important skill.

They’ve also had lots of experience with other dogs and have shown lovely social skills, even learning which adult dogs enjoy puppy shenanigans and which would rather be left alone. They've been exposed to cats and horses as well. As with any puppy, slow introductions and continued guidance will help them learn how to live respectfully with other animals.

At the end of the day, these are still puppies, so their new families should be prepared for house training, leash practice, basic manners and the occasional questionable life choice involving something left on the floor. Apparently Birkenstocks are considered an especially valuable puppy treasure. But they already have a wonderful foundation: they're social, food-motivated, attentive to their people, generally quiet, able to settle and eager to learn.

Whether North points you toward adventure, South leads you home, East brings a new beginning, or West calls you to explore, one of these sweet puppies might just be the direction you've been looking for. ❤️
