Meet Sassy, a sweet, happy one-year-old girl ready to bring a whole lot of love, and probably a little youthful enthusiasm, to her new family!

Sassy is still a young dog with plenty to learn about the big wide world. She would love a family who will continue her training using positive reinforcement and help her experience new people, places, and things at a comfortable pace. A group obedience class or equivalent would be a great way for Sassy to practice her skills, build confidence, and bond with her new people.

As Sassy adjusts to life outside the shelter, slow and positive exposure to busy urban environments will help her learn that all those unfamiliar sights and sounds are nothing to worry about. With encouragement and some tasty rewards along the way, she’ll have a great foundation for becoming a confident adult dog.

If Sassy’s new home includes another dog, we recommend bringing them to the shelter for a meet-and-greet before adoption and taking introductions to any new animals slowly once home.

This sweet girl may be suitable for families with children five years and older, with appropriate supervision between kids and dogs.

At just one year old, Sassy has so much life ahead of her and is looking for someone to share it with. If you’re ready for training sessions, adventures, playtime, and one spectacularly happy smile, come meet Sassy! ❤️
